Porter

Porters are needed for our Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn restaurant. Brunch and dinner shifts are available. Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic, history of working well in a team-based environment, and reliability. We work in a fast-paced, ever-changing restaurant, with a large, diverse workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Sanitizing all areas used for food prep and cooking such as stoves, sinks, ovens, fryers, grills etc. All surfaces included in the dining room such as floors, bathrooms, and bar top as well.

Experience:

  • 2 years min. experience in a professional kitchen environment
Bar Back

Bar Backs are needed for our Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn restaurant. Brunch and dinner shifts are available. Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic, history of working well in a team-based environment, and reliability. Successful employees have an "anything that is needed" attitude, enthusiastic about helping co-workers, and committed to delivering the best possible dining experience to our guests. We work in a fast-paced, ever-changing restaurant, with a large, diverse workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • 2 years min. experience in back waiter/bar back experience 
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. at a time
  • Must have speed during service as you will be working alongside bartender/server 
  • Food Handler’s Certificate is a plus
Shift Captain

Shift Captains are needed for our Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn restaurant. Brunch and dinner shifts are available. Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic, history of working well in a team-based environment, and reliability. Successful employees have an "anything that is needed" attitude, enthusiastic about helping co-workers, and committed to delivering the best possible dining experience to our guests. We work in a fast-paced, ever-changing restaurant, with a large, diverse workforce.

The role of Shift Captain is autonomous and will be trusted to operate in the absence of Senior Management. Must be highly energetic, motivated, and a critical thinker.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision to employees on shift 
  • Cover for employee absences when available
  • Manage daily cash drops
  • Resolve any issues or guest relations that may occur during the shift 
  • 2 years min
  • Bartending and serving experience required to fulfill this position 
  • Food Handler’s Certificate is required.
Host

Host are needed for our Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn restaurant. Brunch and dinner shifts are available. Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic, history of working well in a team-based environment, and reliability. We work in a fast-paced, ever-changing restaurant, with a large, diverse workforce.

Primary Responsibilities

Greeting guests in a warm and welcoming manner as they walk in. Efficiently managing the floorplan by assessing the restaurant to determine the flow of the seating chart. Escorting guests to their assigned table. Must require all guests to show proof of vaccination at the door before sitting. Great organization and interpersonal skill sets are a must.

Greet, engage and provide courteous customer service to our guests. Responsible for maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant and ensuring that their experience and environment is positive.

  • Greet guests upon arrival and departure

  • Escort and engage guests 

  • Highlight menu items or specials for the guest after seating them

  • Accommodate any special needs of guests

  • Manage reservations and wait list

  • Provide guest assistance and readiness to servers as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized guest greeting area

  • Update signage related to daily specials

  • Maintain a presentable foyer and dining area 



Bartender/Server

Bartenders/Servers are needed for our Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn restaurant. Brunch and dinner shifts are available. Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic, history of working well in a team-based environment, and reliability. Responsibilities:

  • Serve food and beverage to guests

  • Guide guests through menu items and ordering options through excellent product knowledge

  • Maintain, stock, and clean service areas and dining room areas and pitch in anywhere else needed

  • Demonstrate superior hospitality

  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests with urgency

  • Perform any other restaurant duties to make our restaurant better. This is a team-based establishment.

  • Treat all co-workers with respect and maintain COVID precautions and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience serving in a similar high-volume restaurant environment

  • Ability to build rapport with guests and co-workers

  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • 2 years min. Bar/Customer Service/Sales experience in the Food & Beverage Industry. Knowledge of Wine & Classic Cocktails is a must.

  • Food Handler’s Certificate is required.





Line/Prep Cook

Line/Prep Cooks are needed for our Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn restaurant. Brunch and dinner shifts are available. Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic, history of working well in a team-based environment, and reliability. Successful employees have an "anything that is needed" attitude, enthusiastic about helping co-workers, and committed to delivering the best possible dining experience to our guests. We work in a fast-paced, ever-changing restaurant, with a large, diverse workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.

  • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.

  • Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.

  • Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.

  • Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills

  • Organizational skills

  • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks

  • Ability to work as a team member

  • Follows directions and instructions

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Two to four years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook

  • Experience with various cooking methods and procedures

  • Familiar with industry best practices

  • Knowledgeable on various food cuisines

  • Food Handler's Certificate A Must
